Some of her other accomplishments include: Appearing on several Local T.V. stations for singing appearances and Educational Lectures, Pianist, Black Historian, Author, and several more affiliations! She later married a gentleman by the name of David Bishop. They went on to have 1 son whose name is Kirk Bishop. As time went on in her later life, poor health and an assortment of other financial difficulties had placed dear Anna in the Thurber Village Rest Home near the Short North Section of Columbus, Ohio. Personal: Kirk Bishop was the 'only' child born from the marriage of Anna Steward and David Bishop . Kirk grew up on Columbus's East Side and attended Champion Jr. High School and East High School. He Loved music and hoped to one day become a local Radio DJ. Well, his wish came true! He won an audition to host a Black Owned Local Radio Station WVKO, in which he was one of the Lead DJs! He worked for several years at WVKO in Columbus, Ohio and also at a competitor station WBBY which was a Jazz station. He had a Unique 'Husky-Soulful' Voice and he mixed those vocal chords with defervescent dialogue on the Air-Waves electrifying and soothing all those Listeners by the Radio!! While his success climbed, he later met a lady by the name of Betty Chrone. They would go on to produce their 'only' child, Monica Chrone. Kirk would later succumb to personal health problems that would inevitably rob him of a once promising career in the Radio Hosting business. Kirk has now passed away, But his voice and style will be forever remembered here within the "Urban Community" Of the 'Capital City', Columbus Ohio.

He was very smart and articulate, could get all the ladies, and could Party with the best of em'!! Frank was also an established Artist. Some of his paintings were displayed in several publications most notably LIKE MAGAZINE. His art consisted of Oil Paintings and very "Salvadore-Dali" like Drawings of Images, People, Animals, Wilderness, and an assortment of Beautiful Abstract artifacts! Joseph had some early childhood misfortunes as he and his sister lost their Father in a Police-Shooting accident and had their mother taken away to a local hospital institution for various illnesses. Subsequently, they both endured hard times as they were taken into childcare homecare. Joseph later matured through those very tough times and he would go on to attend XXXX High School in Washington, D.C. and would later complete his Bachelors Degree from the University of Indiana in Bloomington, In. Joseph enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and went through Officer Training School to become an Officer. He moved up the ranks from 1st Lieutenant to Major. He served his term in various parts of the country including the likes of: Germany, France, Africa, Alaska, Texas, California, and many other locations throughout. Because of his childhood misfortunes, and not enough research being done as of yet to gather more information of Joseph's forebearers, we have little to go on at this point in depicting more Personal Bio Information concerning him. During Joseph's term in the Air Force, he met and later married, MY MOTHER, Winona Steward. They went on to have 5 children whose names are Chris, Tony, Mark, "Sister" , and Joe. Personal: Joseph Powell was one of 3 kids produced from the marriage of Joe Powell Sr. and his wife Jesse Canton. Joseph Powell Sr's other siblings included Jesse , and XXXX who unfortunately died at a very early age. Joseph had some early childhood misfortunes as he and his sister lost their Father in a Police-Shooting accident and had their mother taken away to a local hospital institution for various illnesses. Subsequently, they both endured hard times as they were taken into childcare homecare. Joseph later matured through those very tough times and he would go on to attend XXXX High School in Washington, D.C. and would later complete his Bachelors Degree from the University of Indiana in Bloomington, In. Joseph enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and went through Officer Training School to become an Officer. He moved up the ranks from 1st Lieutenant to Major. He served his term in various parts of the country including the likes of: Germany, France, Africa, Alaska, Texas, California, and many other locations throughout. Because of his childhood misfortunes, and not enough research being done as of yet to gather more information of Joseph's forebearers, we have little to go on at this point in depicting more Personal Bio Information concerning him. During Joseph's term in the Air Force, he met and later married, MY MOTHER, Winona Steward. They went on to have 5 children whose names are Chris, Tony, Mark, "Sister" , and Joe. Because of Military obligations, Joseph and his family lived in various States and stayed the longest in Columbus, Ohio. Joseph had since been divorced from Winona, after 17 years of marriage. He doubly retired, from 2 separate institutions, as an Air Force Major from the USAF and as a Tax Auditor. He was a self-made educational black man, who overcame a lot from his Youth, to where he ended up as an educated professional black man, living comfortably in his 'later' years, although various physical arthritic ailments continued to plague him from time to time, until he succumbed to death. However, For all his misfortunes that he had to endure as a child, Joseph is to be commended for all the struggles he overcame and his fruition towards success.......!! Mark Powell
